Hello, as a reminder all fundraiser credits will be applied to competition fees. If your credits exceed your competition fees, the remainder will be applied to your monthly dance team fees. Invoices for competitions and credits that are available at this time, will be posted by December.

Fall Fundraising

Fall Fundraising Update!

 

Thanks to everyone who participated in the TJ’s fundraiser.  Now that we have concluded those sales, we are ready to start another!!

 

Don’t forget, these are optional and you can choose to participate in as few or as many as you wish.

 

We have 3 separate fundraisers that we are going to distribute next Sunday, Winter Wonderland, 2020 Cardinals Calendars, and Bath Bombs.  We have opted to do them all at once so that you can see each of them and be able to make an informative decision on which you’d like to participate.  Additionally, by beginning them all at once we can have the fall fundraising completed prior to the holiday season!

 

Fundraisers running from October 27th to November 10th

 

Winter Wonderland is a catalog sales.  Your profit is 40% minus shipping.  There is an online option so be sure to include family and friends out of the area!

 

Bath Bombs will be sold for $5 with a 50% profit minus shipping.

 

Cardinals Calendars will be sold for $15.  Your profit is $6.50.

 

Each fundraiser will need one check written to Angie’s Studio.  Please include your dancer’s name on the bottom of the check in the memo line.  Please do not combine checks for the different fundraisers.  Therefore, if you choose to participate in two fundraisers, please include a separate check for each.

Team Bonding Party

We are kicking off our season with our first Starz Team bonding party at the studio Saturday, October 12th from 6:00-7:30 PM

We will be drawing names to match students with their Big Sister/Brother – Little Sister for the year, so we’d love as many kids as possible to be there when their name is called. 🙂 (If you are unable to attend, please let us know and we will draw for you.) 
 
The kids will introduce themselves and give a fun fact or two. 🙂 

We will then play a few  team building games and enjoy popcorn. 🍿 

The staff is super excited for this season! We hope to see you all there! 

Dance Team Absentee/Dress Code Rules/Fees

We wanted to send a reminder of the following Dance Team rules. We will begin enforcing these rules/fees this Sunday, October 6th.
*Proper Dress Code: Solid colored pink camisole/tank, solid colored pink sports bra or solid colored pink leotard with black booty shorts and tan tights.Senior/Combo 5 students are to wear black leggings. Proper shoes are to be worn for the genre rehearsing and hair is to be up. No T-Shirts!!!  If proper attire is not worn there will be an automatic $10 charge added to your invoice. 
*ABSENTEENO MORE THAN 2 ABSENCES ARE ALLOWED DURING THE ENTIRE DANCE TEAM SEASON. Excused absences include a pre-approved absence, injury with doctor’s note, funeral, sickness with high fever or stomach flu. If you are injured or feeling a bit under the weather we still expect to see you present for class to sit and observe.
If you will be absent A PARENT MUST text or e-mail Ms. Andrea (Not Ms. Angie, a teacher or classmate) BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS. If A PARENT does not text or e-mail Ms. Andrea PRIOR to the missed class there will be a $10 no show/no contact fee added to your invoice.

T.J.’s Fundraiser

TJ’S PIZZAS

We will be handing out T.J.’s Pizza & Just Desserts Fundraiser forms at rehearsal on Sunday, October 6th 🍕🍰 You will receive at 40% profit from your individual sales minus sales tax. There is not an on-line ordering option for this fundraiser, however, I have attached an electronic copy of the order forms if you want to post on social media or forward via e-mail.

ALL CHECKS MUST BE MADE OUT TO ANGIE’S STUDIO. MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD’S NAME IS WRITTEN ON THE MEMO LINE OF ALL CHECKS AND ON THE ORDER FORM.

We will not be having Team rehearsals on Sunday, October 20th due to the KAR Convention. This is also the end date for the T.J.’s Pizza fundraiser. 

Therefore, the T.J.’s Pizza order forms/money will need to be turned into the payment dropbox in the office on or before Sunday, October 20th. 

Please place your order forms/money in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Staple it to your order form and put it in the payment slot. 

The studio will be open on the 20th 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Items will be arrive approximately two weeks after fundraiser ends.

Harlem Globetrotter Performance

HARLEM GLOBETROTTER ORDER FORMS/PAYMENT DUE MONDAY, OCTOBER 7TH(Extra order forms are available in Studio A and Studio C.)

Once ticket orders are submitted, they will choose a section to place the Angie’s Studio ticket holders as close together as possible per tier.  The section will be on the side our dancers will be facing during the performance. 

Harlem Globetrotter’s Pre-Game Performance

Who: All Starz Dance Team students are welcome. 
Where: Enterprise Center
Arrival Time: 5:30 PM (Report to the Box Office)
Performance Time: Pre-game. Time TBA
Globetrotter Game Starts: 7:00 PM
Wear: Dancers will purchase a tank top through the studio for $15.00. They will wear their own Black full length leggings, Black Jazz shoes and hair in a high straight ponytail.

All performers and spectators are required to purchase a ticket.

ANNOUNCING AUDITION/COMPETITION INFORMATION FOR THE                   2019/2020 STARZ SEASON!
(Student must have had no less than 1 full year of dance training and be between the ages of 5-19)

❤️AUDITIONS:

❤️AUDITION DRESS CODE:
-Solid colored leotard or sports bra (any color) with solid colored booty shorts (Black preferred)
Combo 5/Senior Level students wear black leggings
-Tan tights
-Hair secured in bun
-Bring proper shoes for whichever subjects you’re auditioning. (Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, etc.)
– Arrive 10-20 minutes early to check-in, receive your # and stretch.

❤️DANCE TEAM INVITATIONS
Dance Team Invitations will be sent out via e-mail on Wed., August 28th.

Dance Team Invitations must be accepted via e-mail, no later than
Fri., August 30th. If you have accepted an invitation – then decide to drop out of the dance after the invitation deadline has passed, you will be charged a fee of $40.00 to accommodate the instructors time to re-arrange plans.

❤️DANCE TEAM REHEARSALS: Weekly Team rehearsals will begin Sun., September 8th

❤️COST:
$198 total per each group dance competed. This is broken down into 9 payments at $22.00 per month, Sept-May. Plus a one time $10 Dance Team Fee per EACH group routine you compete. The $10 fee and $22.00 September payment are due by the first rehearsal. The total cost of team can be paid up front if you choose. (April and May fees are combined and due April 1st.)

This is considered tuition for the competition classes only and is separate from your regular monthly studio class tuition.

Competition Fee Due Dates: A payment for one competition group fee for each competition will be due by Oct 15. The remaining balance must be paid by the due date listed by each competition. Fees and dates will be posted as fees become available. Any fundraiser credits will be applied to remaining competition fees not including the Oct. 15 deposit (unless you are only competing in one routine)

COSTUMES: $60 per costume, per routine. Costume payment is due by Nov. 15th.You may make payments before this date if you choose. We will let you know if we are going to re-use a costume when we send out the audition invitation. Costumes for Solos, Duets and Trios ONLY can be purchased by you but must have approval from the instructor/choreographer before purchasing

SHOES: Once costumes are selected we will let you know the style, brand and color of shoes you will need for each routine. The type of shoe may not be the same as your weekly class and must be purchased by the end of Oct.
PROPS: There may be a small charge if props are going to be used for a dance. (About $10 – $20 per student) TEAM JEWELRY / ACCESSORIES: Required to be purchased through studio. Earrings and Fishnet tights (the fishnet are only required for some routines.) Each item runs between $5-$15 (We may also add jewelry pieces if the costume calls for it.) Earrings and fishnet tights are the same as last year, so if you still have yours you don’t need to purchase new, but please keep your jewelry clean of make-up and hairspray.
MAKE-UP: The Starz Dance Team wears specific make-up and eyelashes to match on stage. Listed below is what is needed to be worn.

MAKE-UP: (Makes a great gift for the holiday .)
1) Foundation- This can be any brand. It should either match or be a half shade darker than their skin tone.
2) Eye Shadow – Preferred choice: Revlon 505 Impressionist or Cover Girl 110 Shimmering Sands
3) Eye Liner – This can be any brand liquid or pencil. The color is (Black)
4) Blush – Maybelline New York FIT me! (Deep Rose) or any Mauve color.
5) Lipstick – Preferred choice Revlon Matte 051 Red Rules or second choice Maybelline Matte 691 Ruby Rich
6) Eye Lashes – KISS “Shy” 62013 KFLM01
7) Eye Lash Glue – Any brand.
(The above items can be purchased at Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, CVS & Amazon)
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES Defray costs to competition entry fees. Sarah Sheppard has graciously offered to chair the fundraising committee. There will be a sign-up sheet on the information wall if you are interested in helping with this committee.

DANCE TEAM EXPECTATIONS: You are expected to be on time, stretched, in proper attire, have correct shoes on, hair up and be ready to work hard at all rehearsals! Proper Dress Attire: Solid colored pink camisole/tank, sports bra or leotard with black booty shorts and tan tights. Sr/Jr students may wear black leggings. If proper attire is not worn there will be an automatic $10 charge. Parents and students are expected to be respectful to all teachers, classmates, studio members, parents and outside competition staff and competitors.
ABSENTEE: NO MORE THAN 2 ABSENCES ARE ALLOWED DURING THE ENTIRE DANCE TEAM SEASON. If you will be absent you MUST TEXT (not tell) TEXT Ms. Andrea ahead of time. No one is allowed to miss the 2 weeks prior to a competition unless it has been approved by the instructor! IF YOU ARE ABSENT OR LATE TO MORE THAN 2 REHEARSALS, not including the 2 allowed misses, YOU WILL
BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED A $30 FEE. THE INSTRUCTOR MAY REQUEST FOR YOU TO
TAKE A PRIVATE LESSON IN WHICH THE $30 FEE WOULD COVER THE COST OF THE PRIVATE LESSON. If you do not TEXT Ms. Andrea (NOT MS. Angie) prior to the missed class, there will also be a $10 no show/no text fee. If you miss more than 2 rehearsals you may be removed from the team or may jeopardize your position in the dance formation. It is not fair to those who do arrive on time, prepared and present each week. We use every minute of rehearsal time to prepare for competition, so if you miss any of that time, you miss out on important details. We do not know the exact time or day each routine will be competing. You must be available each MANDATORY competition date that is listed. No refunds on competition fees after the required paid date.
COMPETITION/PERFORMANCE DATES: During the dance team year we will offer 3 to 4 opportunities to compete or perform at a high end level. The 3-4 regional competitions are mandatory. The traveling national competition or performance opportunity, is offered every other year, and is optional. Please Note…In order to take a routine to a national competition we will need to have a high enough score at regionals and have enough students from that routine choose to attend in order to meet the criteria. Those students traveling to Nationals or the Performance Opportunity, will continue classes and payments during the summer up until the date of the competition.

OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE OPPERTUNITIES – Performance opportunities will be posted as they become available. Liberty Showcase, Wentzville Days, Fourth of July Parade, H.S. Exhibitions, Wentzville October Fest, Cardinal Game, Winter Parade etc…
